Suspected Boko Haram insurgents on Friday, October 4th reportedly launched an attack on Mifa, a village in the Chibok Local Government Area of Borno State.

According to reports, several houses were said to have been razed during the attack by the insurgents, who arrived at about 8pm.


A habitant of the community said    “They are burning houses as I speak to you, many of them arrived with motorcycles and started attacking the village,” a source said. Adding that many of the villagers have escaped while the attack has caused panic in the whole of Chibok and neighbouring LGAs.


He also added that “They have burnt so many houses especially because it is night and the terrain of the place. We don’t know of any casualty yet. The villagers also confirmed that troops has arrived to aid the people


Mifa, eight kilometres away from Chibok town, is the last settlement which shares a border with the dreaded Sambisa forest. The attack has been a continuous act, Even though Our Government claimed to have successfully wiped away such terrorist group
