The Senate of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education has approved the expulsion of twelve students of the institution for gross misconduct.
The decision was reached on Tuesday May 18, 2021 after the Chairman of the Students Disciplinary Committee presented its reports which Senate deliberated upon.
The students are:
1. Mr Nnamdi Destiny, a 300 level Political Science Department student with matriculation number UE/2018/Pol.Sc/B.Ed4/0062
2. Mr Samuel Valentine, a 300 level Political Science Department Student with matriculation number UE/2017/Pol.Sc/B.Sc.Ed4/0259
3. Mr Chukwuemeka Amajuonyi, a 200 level Student of Theatre Arts and Film Studies Department with matriculation number UE/THA/B.Ed4/0019 and
4. Mr Ovunwo Junior Henry, a 100 level student of Sociology Department. They were found guilty of rape.
Meanwhile (5) Mr Ukame ThankGod Abraham, a 300 level student of Computer Science Department with matriculation number UE/2017/B.Ed4/Compt/0246 and (6) Mr Sampson Fiafiaene , a 300 level student of Technical Education Department Ndele Campus with matriculation number UE/2017/ITE/B.Sc/0056 were also expelled by Senate for computer theft.
Also (7) Mr Bekwele Ogbondah Godspower, a 400 level student of Accounting Department with matriculation number UE/2016/ACCT/B.Ed4/0100 and (😎 Mr Charles Roland Chinonso, a 200 level student of Accounting Department with matriculation number UE/2018/B.Sc.Ed4/0485 were expelled by Senate for defrauding fresh students of the University of their school fees.
Similarly (9) Mr Linus Hans, a 200 level student of Accounting Department with matriculation number UE/2018/ACCT/B.Sc.Ed4/0525 has been sent packing by Senate for theft alongside (10) Mr Wonodi Godspower Chuka, a 200 level student of Computer Science Department and (11) Mr Amaonu Tubolayafa.
In a related development, Senate on Wednesday May 26, 2021 approved the rustication of (12) Mr Waitte Tamunosiki Wisdom, a 300 level student of Social Studies Department with matriculation number UE/ B.Ed4/0123 for one academic session. He was found guilty of theft.
