President Buhari ignores kanu's threat and travels to Japan(photos)
President Buhari departed Abuja today Sunday August 25th, for Japan ahead of the 7th Tokyo International Conference on African Development
The conference will hold from August 28th to 30th.
President Buhari is accompanied by Governors Babagana Zulum, AbdulRaham AbdulRazaq and Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Borno, Kwara and Lagos States respectively; ministers and other top government officials.
The President is expected back in Nigeria on Saturday, August 31.
Kanu had directed his group in Japan to attack, humiliate and arrest Buhari if he (Buhari) visits Japan. His directive has long been condemned by Nigerians who took to their social media handles to criticise Kanu, calling him coward and ingrate.In another development, Kanu wrote to the Emperor of Japan ‘Naruhito of Japan’, telling him that Buhari’s visit would desecrate the Royal Palace in Tokyo.
