2020/2021: Benue State University (BSU), Admission List

This is to inform all applicants of the Benue State University, BSUM that admissions into undergraduate programmes of the University for the 2020/2021 academic session as approved by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) have been released and successfully uploaded online on the school portal.

Latest Update: This is to inform all candidates who applied for change of course in the quota-regulated courses (LL.B, MBBS and B. Sc. Nursing) to check their admission status on the University Portal.

  1. Candidates are to confirm their admission status on the BSU website www.bsum.edu.ng by paying a non-refundable Admission Verification fee of four hundred (N400.00) naira only using the e-payment platform under the “Admissions” link.
  2. Successful candidates are required to proceed to pay an acceptance fee of ten thousand (N10,000.00) naira only using the e-payment procedure.
  3. Successful candidates who have accepted their Admission should proceed to upload the following documents for online screening:
    1. Original academic qualifications
    2. Original JAMB Result slip with embossed passport photograph
    3. Original Direct Entry Online e-registration printout with embossed passport photograph
    4. Certificate of State Origin
  4. Successful candidates who had earlier accepted admission in other courses are to visit JAMB portal and process change of admission from old to their new courses to enable them to print JAMB admission letter.
  5. Candidates are to note that checking of admission status, acceptance of admission, uploading of documents for on-line screening is on the University Portal.

How to Check BSU Admission List 2020/2021 [Confirm Admission Status]

This is to inform all candidates who applied for admission into Benue State University for the 2020/2021 academic session that admissions into undergraduate programmes of the University have been released.

ii. Candidates are to confirm their admission status on the BSU portal by paying a non-refundable admission Verification fee of four hundred (N400.00) Naira, using the e-payment procedure.

iii. Successful candidates are required to do the following:

a. Proceed to pay an acceptance fee of ten thousand (N10,000.00) Naira using the e-payment procedure.

b. Proceed to do a change of course on the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) website where the course admitted into is different from the course initially applied for.

iv. Successful candidates who have accepted their Admission should proceed to upload the following documents for online screening:

a. Original academic qualifications

b. Original JAMB Result slip with embossed passport-size photograph

c. Original Direct Entry Online e-registration printout with embossed passport-size photograph

d. Birth certificate/declaration of age

e. Certificate of State Origin

v. Successfully screened candidates should revisit the Benue State University portal and print out admission letter.

All Prospective BSU candidates can access their admission status online via the JAMB CAPS admission status checking portal.

Please Kindly Follow the procedure outlined below:

  • Log on to https://jamb.gov.ng/Efacility.
  • Enter to your Jamb profile with your username and password.
  • Scroll down then locate and click the ‘Check Admission Status‘ tab.
  • Select your Exam year and Enter your registration number in the required columns.
  • Click on ‘Check Admission Status‘ to access your BSU admission status.

Successfully admitted are required to either: Accept or Reject Admission Offer via the JAMB CAPS Portal.

ALSO,

Candidates are to confirm their admission status on the BSU portal by paying a non-refundable Admission Verification fee of four hundred (N400.00) naira only using the e-payment procedure.

The Guidelines on e-payment are as follows:
i. Visit www.bsum.edu.ng or https://www.portal.bsum.edu.ng
ii. Click on e-Payment platform to open the e-Payment Form
iii. Select programme, Payment Category: Admission Checking Type in Registration Number, Select session or semester as applicable.
iv. Click on “Generate Payment Reference” to generate payment number.
v. Click on link to proceed.
vi. OPTIONS:
a. For cash payments at Bank:
Before proceeding to the bank, complete and printout your Payment Reference Number slip from the e-Payment Platform from the University website or Portal and take it to the bank. On receipt of cash from you, the Bank using “College Pay” will process your transaction and generate Payment Receipt for you.

Visit any of the following Bank Branches nation-wide to make payment.

  1. Fidelity Bank Plc
  2. Zenith Bank Plc
  3. ECO Bank Plc
  4. Guaranty Trust Bank Plc
  5. Sterling Bank Plc
  6. Diamond Bank Plc
  7. First Bank of Nigeria Plc
  8. United Bank for Africa Plc
  9. Unity Bank Plc
  10. Union Bank of Nigeria Plc
  11. Skye Bank Plc

b. For ATM Payments: Visit any ATM machine with your ATM card and do the following:

  • Select Quick teller from the ATM menu
  • Select pay bills
  • Fill in the Payment reference number generated from the E-Payment platform when you are requested to enter the Customer ID
  • Fill in 04255101 when you are requested to enter the Payment Code
  • Enter your GSM Number and complete the transaction.

After successfully completing the payment, return to the portal to login and print out your Payment Receipt.

c. For payment using Quick-teller from the Internet: 

Visit the quick-teller website www.quickteller.com/bsum to complete your transaction.
Insert your Registration number
Insert your email and mobile number and click “continue”
Follow the instructions on the screen to complete your payment
Print out the payment confirmation slip
Return to the portal and print out a payment receipt

NOTE:
Candidates are to note that checking of admission status, acceptance of admission, uploading of documents for on-line screening, payment of school fees, and course registration is on the University Portal.

Candidates who scored 180 and above at JAMB UTME and 35% and above in the Post UTME of Benue State University, should do the following: 

i. They are expected to go to any JAMB CBT Centre and upload their relevant O’ Level credentials on the JAMB CAPS.

ii. Candidates should treat this announcement as very important and urgent.

Forgery of any kind will attract automatic withdrawal of the admission offered and possible prosecution.
