2022/2023: JAMB Approved Cut-Off Marks | UNI’s, Poly’s & COE’s
This is to inform the general public that the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, (JAMB) National Cutoff-Marks/Points for all Nigerian Universities (UNIs), Polytechnics (Poly’s) and College of Education (COE’s) for 2022/2023 Admission Exercise is out.
JAMB Approved Cut-Off Marks: The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the minimum national cut-off marks for admissions into the tertiary institutions in Nigeria for the 2022/2023 admission exercise.

JAMB Cutoff-Mark for 2022/2023 Admission Exercise | UNI’s, Poly’s & COE’s
The Cutoff marks are to be adopted by all DEGREE [Universities], NIGERIA CERTIFICATE IN EDUCATION [College of Education/Monothecnics] and NATIONAL DIPLOMA [Polytechnics] – AWARDING INSTITUTIONS.
- PUBLIC UNIVERSITIES: 140 and above
- PRIVATE UNIVERSITIES: 120 and above
- PUBLIC POLYTECHNICS: 100 and above
- PRIVATE POLYTECHNICS: 100 and above
- INNOVATING ENTERPRISING INSTITUTIONS and COLLEGES OF EDUCATION: 100 respectively.
Institutions are, however, at liberty to raise their cut off marks for admission above the minimum set by JAMB.
JAMB Registrar, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede said institutions, with the decision, are not to go below the minimum cut-off points adopted at the meeting for admissions.
According to him, “What JAMB has done is to recommend; We will only determine the minimum, whatever you determine as your admission cut-off mark is your decision.
The board will ensure that criterion set by Senate are strictly adhered to by the institutions’ admission officers and no shifting of goal post in the middle of the admission exercise.
The 2022/2023 JAMB Admission Exercise will still be mainly from the Central Admission Processing [CAPS] as done in 2021.
Admission processes are expected to commence as soon as possible based on the guidelines released by JAMB.
