Job Description
- We are looking for an experienced, driven electrical engineer with a wealth of industry knowledge in renewable energy.
- The electrical engineer should be a critical thinker and have sound subject knowledge of mathematics and physics to identify and solve engineering problems.
- You must also possess a certain level of creativity in order to present innovative solutions and improvements to technical processes.
Responsibilities
- Perform risk assessments and ensure compliance with safety standards and electrical engineering codes.
- To represent and do follow up meeting on projects or other technical matters within and without
- To give report on project update on all meeting within
- Perform confidential scrutiny of sub-contractors’ quotation/payment and site Engineer/Project Manager’s request
- Discuss project progress/challenges with subcontractors & PM and update
- Assess potential risks, materials and costs
- Provide advice and resolve creatively any emerging problems/deficiencies
- Oversee and mentor staff and liaise with a variety of stakeholders
- Handle over the resulting structures and services for use
- Monitor progress and compile reports in project status
- Manage budget and purchase equipment/materials
- Comply with guidelines and regulations including permits, safety etc and deliver technical files and other technical documentation as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- COREN, PMP certification is an added advantage.
- A minimum of 5 years of industry knowledge desired.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure project deadlines are met.
- Leadership skills to effectively manage a diverse group of professionals working on one project.
- Ability to coordinate more than one project at a time.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
